SCHEDULE OF CLASSES
The Day class schedule is Monday through Friday, with classes from 8:30AM to 2:30PM The Evening schedule is from Monday through Friday, from 5:30PM to 10:30PM, Saturday classes are from 8:00AM to 4:00PM. Class periods consist of 50 minutes of instruction, with 10 minutes between periods.
MODULE START DATES
For the Medical Division, new modules begin every five weeks for MOA and ten weeks for Medical Billing. For EKG, Phlebotomy, Medical Billing, and Nursing Assistant/Orderly, please call for an upcoming start date.
TRANSFER HOURS
Students will be given transfer hours for approved curriculum or courses taken at another licensed or registered school, or a program at a degree-granting institution similar to courses being offered at FRANKLIN CAREER INSTITUTE. A student given transfer hours has only to complete the number of approved institutional hours for the curriculum, minus the number of transfer hours granted. An official transcript is required indicating that the student has received a "C" grade or better for the course in question. It is required that the student submit course descriptions from the prior school in order to evaluate course content. No transfer of hours between programs within the school is permitted.
HOLIDAY / SCHOOL CLOSING MAKEUP
Franklin Career Institute schedules special holiday makeup for those holidays and emergency school closings that would obligate us to offer less than the required scheduled time for classes. Holiday makeup is scheduled like a regular school day and classes are conducted in the exact sequence and length of time for the day school was out of session. These courses are normally scheduled either an hour a day 2:40pm to 3:30pm for six consecutive days for our Medical Office Assistant day session and 4:30pm – 5:20pm for our evening session for five consecutive days. As of April of 2011 all holiday makeup or emergency school closing makeup will be conducted on the following two Saturdays, and will follow the normal five hour schedule of the day classes were cancelled.
